Why take lessons at South Shore Music / DiCenso's Drum Shop?
South Shore Music and DiCenso's Drum Shop have been giving lessons for over 68 years combined! Our instructors are carefully chosen based on their educational backgrounds, experience, attitude and communication skills. Our goal is for the student to develop a passion for their instrument while learning the fundamentals of music.
At South Shore Music and DiCenso's Drum Shop, we provide a very broad and affordable music education program taught by qualified professionals, teaching students of all ages and levels: kids and adults, from complete beginners to those preparing for music school to the active professional. We have fully-equipped studios complete with stereos, recording equipment, and professional quality instruments / amplification.
Not only does our lesson program teach the fundamentals and techniques of good musicianship, but our master classes, clinics, ensemble programs, and student performance workshops also provide all of our students an opportunity to fully explore their potential as a musician.
Lessons at South Shore Music and DiCenso's Drum Shop are private, one-on-one sessions, and meet once a week (same day, same time, same teacher each week). Lessons are held Monday through Saturday, all day into the evening and are paid for in blocks of four (4) lessons at a time.
Most lessons are 30-minute sessions though most of our drum instructors prefer 45-minute sessions.
