The Tama 14x6 Starphonic Bubinga Snare Drum (PBC146MNC) features an 8-ply bubinga shell with outer 1-ply of cordia, Tama rolled collar bearing edges, 10 Freedom Lugs, claw hooks, Grooved Hoops, "Linear-Drive" Strainer and Detachable butt plate, 20-strand Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snare Wires (MS20RL14C), Evans Coated G1 batter drumhead with Tama Logo, Evans Snare Side 300 drumhead with Tama logo, matte finish over natural cordia woodgrain, chrome hardware, and Tama Starphonic badge.

The Bubinga snare features a thinner shell than Tama's standard Starclassic Bubinga drums for a softer and warmer sound. Reducing the shell thickness rounds out Bubinga's massive sound but still demoostrates outstanding rich tone and full resonance. The Grooved Hoop emphasizes its sharp projection and warmth of Bubinga's low-end. A beautiful outer ply of Matte Natural Cordia wood perfectly matches this drum's noble sound.
